Science literacy test
Science literacy test was taken for 8thstandard student’s
science the topics included were Human reproduction, sound, metals and non metals,
chemical effects of electric current, friction. The science literacy
test measures skills related to major aspects of scientific literacy of students. Science literacy should be conducted
with students to check their knowledge in the subject.
Science
literacy tests are available online. I had downloaded one of the science literacy
tests from the internet. Four options were given and students were supposed to
tick the correct option. Than answers were discussed with the students.
ANALYSIS OF TEST
Answers
were corrected and analyzed it was found that 40 % of the students had a good
knowledge of the science subject. The students who were good in academics were good
at answering the test. 50% percent of the were not good at answering the test
and also were weak in academics. And 10 % of the students not at all answered
the test.
